Fresta is an isolated, heavily forested island east of Telluria. Its interior is hilly and mountainous, with dense vegetation extending almost to the coast. The island’s narrow shape leaves little room for broad plains, so most settlements occupy bays, river mouths, and limited stretches of coastal lowland.

 

Fresta has a humid maritime climate. Rainfall is frequent throughout the year, particularly where ocean winds rise over the central highlands. Summers are warm but moderated by the sea, while winters remain milder than those of Telluria and Tundris.

 

The island’s forests provide timber, medicinal plants, game, and other natural resources not found elsewhere in the continental kingdoms. Due to its distinct history and geographic isolation, Fresta has a strong maritime identity and a culture distinct from the other lands within the Seven Kingdoms.
