Nirvana is a relatively small, lush island west of Telluria. Its long, narrow shape is defined by rugged coasts, heavily forested hills, and a broken chain of mountains running across much of the island. Broad green lowlands occupy the central interior, while steeper terrain rises toward the eastern and southwestern regions.

 

The island’s geography creates a series of sheltered valleys between its mountain ranges. Numerous streams and short rivers descend from the highlands, feeding fertile plains before reaching the surrounding sea. Dense forests cover much of the coastline and lower slopes, while the interior valleys provide the best land for agriculture, settlement, and overland travel.

 

Nirvana has a mild, humid maritime climate. Rainfall is frequent throughout the year, particularly where ocean winds rise over the mountains. Summers are warm but moderated by the surrounding water, while winters remain relatively mild. The forests and grasslands stay green for most of the year, and the central valleys support abundant crops, orchards, grazing land, and freshwater resources.

Its position between Cadstern, Tundris and Telluria gives Nirvana considerable strategic importance. Ships moving between the western continent, the northern kingdoms, and the eastern seas can use its harbors for resupply and shelter. For this reason, despite its limited size, Nirvana exerts a profound influence over the central maritime routes through the kingdom.
